Allianz Pick Platform Media For Rugby World Cup Campaign
Social-first video content for the official insurance partner of England Rugby goes behind the scenes at Pennyhill ParkPlatform Media has created a series of social-first videos for major commercial insurance provider and RFU partner, Allianz. The content – a mixture of challenge videos and interviews – will be posted across Allianz’s social channels to promote their partnership with RFU and provide rugby fans with an insight into England’s training camp that took place ahead of their departure to France for the World Cup.
England players Joe Marchant, Will Stuart (both part of the tournament squad) and Charlie Ewels feature in the videos, while Red Roses scrum-half and star of The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby, Mo Hunt, also appears as a host. The content was captured at Pennyhill Park, England’s base for their pre-World Cup training camp, and the final assets will target rugby audiences across YouTube and Instagram.
In addition to highlighting Allianz’s association with the RFU and the build-up to the World Cup, the video concepts developed by Platform Media were also informed by Allianz’s MoveNow initiative, which aims to get young people back into sport.
The first piece of content, published on the opening day of the Rugby World Cup, saw Marchant, Stuart and Ewels attempt to decode rugby jargon in the ‘What Did You Say’ challenge.
