Tasked by the EFL to raise the profile of and interest in their nationwide cup competitions, we combined original and high-quality video content and a bespoke distribution model to ensure huge reach and engagement.
KNOCKOUT CONTENT CAMPAIGNS
In addition to the Sky Bet EFL Leagues, the EFL runs two cup competitions – The Carabao Cup and the Papa Johns Trophy. The EFL reached out to Platform Media with the task of generating engagement with, positive sentiment towards, and – ultimately – more meaningful conversation about both competitions via a range of social content.
Football content across social media is an extremely saturated space, with the need to create content that cuts through an increasingly difficult task. Although boasting enormous social followings, organic reach and engagement is often a difficult challenge for large publisher partners and brand social channels.
We knew we had to build a strategy which engaged football fans with the right content, in the right environment, from trusted voices. We produced original, high-quality and targeted video content and partnered with culturally relevant social communities to ensure huge reach and engagement.
The quality of our work was evidenced not only in the core campaign results, but in the live and broadcast exposure afforded to our video content.
